Official Accounts

This procedure is for patients who have functional concerns related to large breasts, such as shoulder or neck discomfort and difficulty exercising, as well as for patients who want to lift breasts that have sagged after breastfeeding or with age.
We recommend the surgical approach that best fits each patient’s anatomy, goals, and lifestyle.

There are two main approaches. The best method depends on whether the breast size is mainly due to glandular breast tissue or subcutaneous fat.
Suitability is determined through a preoperative examination and ultrasound imaging.

POINT

VASER liposuction

Breast reduction surgery

VASER liposuction

If a large portion of the breast volume comes from subcutaneous fat, the breasts may be reduced with liposuction.
VASER may help the skin contract after fat removal, allowing us to reduce volume while aiming to minimize postoperative skin laxity.
As with other forms of liposuction, this approach typically leaves only a few small, discreet incisions of about 5 mm.

Breast reduction surgery

Breast reduction surgery is indicated when breast size is mainly due to glandular tissue, or when a more substantial reduction is desired.
The choice of technique depends on the amount of reduction desired, whether you plan to breastfeed in the future, and how much scarring you are willing to accept.

For a significant change, an inverted-T, or anchor, incision may be used. This involves a larger incision around the areola and down to the inframammary fold, allowing reduction of skin, subcutaneous fat, and glandular breast tissue.
Other techniques are also available, including a periareolar incision around the areola or a vertical incision pattern.
