Dr. Honda was born in Maryland, USA, in 1984, where he was given the middle name Michael.

While still an infant, he returned with his family to their home region of Shimane, where he spent his early childhood in a warm, close-knit community.

He later moved to the Kansai region to attend university.
He was on track to enter a master’s program, but during a visit home he was deeply impressed by his father’s work as a physician. That experience led him to set his sights on medical school.
After a year of focused preparation, he was admitted to medical school.

Believing that rigorous training in plastic and reconstructive surgery was essential before specializing in aesthetic surgery, he began his advanced residency in plastic surgery at the Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR.
At the same time, he worked part-time as an aesthetic surgeon, gaining experience in a broad range of cosmetic procedures.

At one of Japan’s leading centers for breast reconstruction, he was involved from an early stage as an operating surgeon in many breast reconstruction cases.
In addition to building a strong foundation in plastic-surgery techniques, he presented extensively at domestic and international conferences and contributed to academic publications.

After two years at the Cancer Institute Hospital, he moved to St. Luke’s International Hospital to broaden his experience across the full scope of plastic surgery.
St. Luke’s also provides aesthetic surgery, allowing him to take part in numerous cosmetic procedures, including revision surgery to correct results from procedures performed at other clinics.

After fulfilling the requirements for board certification in plastic surgery, he chose to focus entirely on aesthetic surgery.

His extensive experience in breast reconstruction led him to pursue mastery of fat transfer, a technique that can create natural-looking results and high patient satisfaction.
He then joined THE CLINIC, a practice specializing in liposuction and fat transfer.

At THE CLINIC, he immersed himself in the theory and technical practice of liposuction, helping many patients achieve their desired results.

Wanting to offer care that was even more closely tailored to each individual, he ultimately decided to establish his own practice.

Raised in a rural area rich in nature, Dr. Shinagawa spent her childhood outdoors and developed a deep love of the natural world.

Because she loved animals, she once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. After her grandmother was injured, however, she gradually became drawn to medicine and set her sights on medical school.

After graduating from medical school, she completed training at a university hospital in her home region and went on to become an anesthesiologist. She has extensive experience in surgical anesthesia and holds both specialist and instructor certification in anesthesiology.

Dr. Shinagawa believes that patients can undergo aesthetic medicine with confidence only when it is supported by a strong foundation of safety. As the need for safety in aesthetic care—including anesthesia—continues to grow, she shares Dr. Honda’s patient-first philosophy and is committed to caring for each patient with attention and respect.
